I fell in love with Toronto when I photographed Pride three years ago. This year Toronto hosted World Pride. It was bigger, louder and more colorful than ever. I wandered the streets trying to capture as much as I could with my camera. Here are some of my favorite portraits.

I’m thrilled that some of my portraits were published in the July 10th issue of Xtra.

10×10 Photography Project Exhibition!

This year I participated in the 10×10 Photography Project. The 10×10 Photography Project was created by James Fowler four years ago to celebrate queer artists. Each year 10 queer photographers are chosen to photograph 10 queer artists of their choice. It culminates in a giant photography exhibit celebrating 100+ queer artists. I’m so lucky to have been able to photograph 10 queer artists that I love:

The past few months have been spent planning, shooting, editing & printing the portraits for the exhibit so I’m very excited to share my portraits. The opening reception is happening at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West). It will be on display until August 17th. Along with the exhibit their will be a book available which features all of the portraits from the show.

Last night at Fit in Toronto, Sharon Needles woke from her coffin with a mic in her hand ready to kill with her debut single “This Club is a Haunted House”. The reigning queen of Rupaul’s Drag Race ate money, lost a claw, spat beer at the audience and then she made it snow! And we loved it.

Headed to Montreal

Portraits of the Dead: Toronto’s Zombie Walk

Nothing makes Torontonians come alive like a zombie walk. October 20th was Toronto’s 10th annual Zombie Walk. The walk started at City Hall, snaked around Yonge & Dundas square before making it back to City Hall. These zombies took to the streets completely blocking two lanes of traffic. There was just as many photographers as zombies. I didn’t know zombies loved cameras as much as they love brains. Here’s a selection of my favorite zombie portraits.
